Contact Lenses: What Are The Best Ones?
What is the best brand of contacts? Personal experiances with them would be appreciated. I have been wearing contacts for a year and want to try a new brand. I have no discomfort with mine, but i have daily disposables. I want 1-2 week daily wear contacts.
I heard silicon hydrogel lenses are really good. but i heard people have problems with them...whats are your experiences with them?
What brand/type should I try??

I have worn Soflens years ago, the kind I wore are now discontinued. Acuvue Oasys are a great lens, 2 week daily wear disposables. Proclear also makes a great lens and are monthly disposables. Both are great for dryness although Proclear is the only one that is FDA approved for dryness (i.e. comfort). Oasys is very comprable but just didn't spend the extra money for the FDA approval (which shows in the price, Oasys is cheaper).
I now wear the dailies but that's just a conveinence thing for me. I wore Oasys for almost a year with great success, and I actually had to stop contacts in highschool because I couldn't stand the dryness and burning. Had no problems with Oasys. I now wear Acuvue 1 Day Moist and they are wonderful. I have also tried Proclear Dailies which I loved but the base curve was a little too loose for my liking.
If you don't have extreme dry eye to begin with, I have not heard of problems with silicon hydrogel, unless you wear them longer than prescribed. That will give you problems regardless of the material.
