Chinatown- Color Contact Lenses?
I have dark brown eyes, and I'd like to get blue, green, purple and/or gray contact lenses for halloween (or even for any regular day). I've heard some people say "they got it in Chinatown", but where exactly? I live right near chinatown so it'd be nice to get them there, but if you know of any place else in the city for a cheap price, that's good too! By the way, I DON'T want prescription ones- just any over-the-counter colored lenses that I can use for the whole day. Also, this'll be the first time I've used any contacts, I'm kinda scared!! HELP PLEASE!?!?!?

Contact lenses can scratch your eyes and cause a whole host of problems if they aren't fitted properly. The only legal way to get them is with a prescription, which is generally good for one year. Once you have the prescription you can buy lenses that match the prescription wherever you like, though a licensed optometrist is obviously safest. Even if you have perfect vision, a doctor will still want to check the fit on your eyes (they will probably try to talk you out of getting lenses if you don't need them too, best to be polite to them even if you have no intention of listening). Bottom line, I highly discourage you from picking up any random contact lenses and putting them in your eye without having the shape of your eye measured by a doctor to avoid permanently damaging your cornea and vision.
