How much do contact lenses usually cost (England)?
I'm having an eye test tomorrow, and I have a feeling my eyesight has become slightly worse!
I'm short sighted, so I have to wear glasses in school to see the board if I'm far away.
Anyway, I was just wondering - I know you can get monthly or daily contact lenses (does this mean monthly are one pair for the month, and daily are disposable at the end of the day..?), but how much do they cost?
Is it, say, £30 a month if you have monthly, or can you buy a set for a certain amount of money and then not have to keep paying installments?

You are right that monthly you wear a lens for a month and then throw it away adn daily for a day. I actually have ones you throw away every fortnight. You keep having to pay every month as you throw the lenses away. This has a lot of advantages over the old systems whereby you just bought a set of lenses but it is expensive. How expensive depends on your perscription and the type of lens you go for. I pay about £25-00 for mine which are quite expensive and torics as I have astigmatism so I think £30 is probably a worst case scenario.
