why do people make a big deal when a minority women bleach their hair and wear color contact lense?
its not fair i notice when black women,indian women and women of color in general change their appearance people complain. why do people think we minorities who bleach our hair and wear contacts lenses are trying to be a white women. white women wear contact lenses and bleach their hair and no one dont complain about that
Usually it doesn't bother white people, but it bothers people of the same minority because they think the woman is "turning her back on her people of color." I hear that a lot, and I think they are missing the point. Anyone should be able to make their own style choices; it has nothing to do with ethnicity (unless the woman in question IS trying to "pass" -- which hardly anyone does anymore.
I say ignore them.
