How come my eye gets red after wearing night contacts?

I haven;t had any problems for a month, but now when i wake up, i have a bunch of eye wax and some of the wax goes onto my contact lenses and onto my eye sometimes. The doctor says that my eye gets waxy because I don't clean my lenses enough. I have been trying to clean it my best, my eye just gets waxier and more uncomfortable. I use boston cleaner and boston advanced cushioning solution

There has been some controversy about long-wearing contacts, especially the kind you can supposedly wear even at night.

The "wax" is actually a protein that builds up on and in the lens. I think there are enzyme cleaners that can help with that. However, the redness and soreness in your eyes are a warning sign. Take your lenses out at night and soak them overnight in the correct kind of cleaning solution. Ask your doctor for more information about that.

You may have to go back to daily-wear lenses, or even the disposable kind that you replace instead of trying to clean them.
